GLO Marine attended the Romanian Renewable Energy Summit 2026. The participation reflects the company’s expansion into energy, bringing its engineering, fabrication and integration capabilities to renewable energy and infrastructure projects.
The fifth edition of the summit brought together renewable energy developers, investors, EPC contractors, technology providers and financial institutions. The programme covered solar and wind development, energy storage, grid integration and project financing, with a focus on the conditions needed to move projects from development into operation.
GLO Marine’s contribution to this sector builds on its experience in complex marine and offshore projects. Its in-house engineering disciplines are connected to procurement, fabrication, installation and commissioning, allowing technical requirements to be followed through to execution. This experience provides a practical basis for supporting energy projects where structures, piping, electrical equipment and control systems must work together as a complete package.
The new GLO Marine Technology Centre in Galati will expand this capacity. Currently under development, the facility will bring steel fabrication, piping prefabrication, electrical assembly and system integration together under one roof. Its planned capabilities include modular and containerised assemblies, electrical E-Houses, control panels and the integration of Battery Energy Storage Systems (BESS). Systems will be assembled and tested before delivery for installation and commissioning.
For engineering, procurement and construction (EPC) contractors and technology providers, this model offers support with the detailed engineering and physical integration of their equipment. Defining interfaces early and completing more assembly and testing in the workshop can reduce the amount of work required on site and simplify coordination between suppliers. GLO Marine’s role is to complement the technology provider with the engineering and execution needed to deliver the agreed package.
Participation in RRES 2026 forms part of GLO Marine’s work to develop relationships across the energy sector as these capabilities expand. The company welcomes enquiries from EPC contractors and technology providers seeking support with modular assembly, electrical integration, steelwork, piping and complete packaged systems.
