Construction of the GLO Marine Technology Centre continues to progress on schedule, bringing new manufacturing and system integration capabilities closer to completion.
Designed to support the growing demand for vessel retrofit, offshore, and energy transition projects, the new facility will enable the in-house design, fabrication, assembly, and testing of complete containerised equipment solutions.
The Technology Centre will support the integration of systems including Battery Energy Storage Systems (BESS), Shore Power (Cold Ironing) modules, electrical E-Houses, hydraulic power units, control rooms, and other containerised equipment packages developed for maritime and offshore applications.
By bringing engineering, steel fabrication, piping, electrical assembly, and system integration together within a single facility, GLO Marine will be able to deliver fully integrated and factory-tested modules that are ready for transport, installation, and commissioning. Manufacturing under controlled workshop conditions also improves quality assurance, simplifies logistics, and reduces the amount of work required onboard during vessel retrofit projects.
Containerised systems continue to play an increasingly important role in modern vessel upgrades by reducing offshore installation time, minimising vessel downtime, and improving overall project efficiency.
The Technology Centre represents a significant investment in GLO Marine's integrated delivery model and will further strengthen the company's ability to deliver complete engineering, fabrication, and execution services for complex vessel retrofit and offshore projects.
