Advancing toward full integration in vessel upgrades

Expanding our execution infrastructure

We are entering a new stage in our development with the establishment of an integrated assembly and production facility in Galați, Romania.

This €6 million investment represents a strategic expansion of our execution platform. It is not simply an increase in capacity, but a deliberate move to consolidate engineering, fabrication, electrical integration, and system pre-assembly within a unified operational framework. By strengthening these capabilities internally, we enhance the way we deliver complex vessel upgrades, decarbonisation solutions, and offshore mobilisation projects.

Construction is currently underway, with completion scheduled by the end of the year and production set to begin in February 2027. The facility will create approximately 40 skilled technical roles, further reinforcing our multidisciplinary expertise and long-term operational strength.

Addressing the growing complexity of modern retrofits

Vessel upgrades are becoming increasingly sophisticated. Electrification, hybridisation, and decarbonisation initiatives require tighter coordination between structural, mechanical, and electrical disciplines. Offshore projects demand high integration discipline and carefully controlled execution windows.

In this environment, delivery structures that rely heavily on dispersed external interfaces can introduce scheduling risks, cost variability, and quality inconsistencies.

By expanding our in-house fabrication and integration capabilities, we create a more controlled and coordinated execution model. This enables us to manage technical interfaces more effectively, reduce onboard installation time, and provide greater schedule certainty for vessels operating in active commercial service.

Integrated fabrication and pre-assembly capabilities

The Galați facility strengthens our ability to design, fabricate, and pre-integrate complex systems across multiple disciplines, including:

  • Steel structures and secondary outfitting components
  • Advanced piping systems and prefabricated spools
  • Skid-based and modular mechanical assemblies
  • Electrical panels and switchboards
  • Hybrid-ready modules prepared for integration
  • Pre-configured retrofit packages, including Air Lubrication Systems (ALS)

By bringing mechanical fabrication and electrical assembly together within a single controlled production environment, we improve coordination between engineering and manufacturing. This approach reduces interface risk, simplifies onboard installation, and enhances overall execution predictability across demanding retrofit programs.

Strengthening our end-to-end delivery model

This investment reinforces our long-term strategy of expanding our execution capabilities while keeping engineering excellence at the core of everything we do.

With greater control over critical project phases — from detailed engineering to fabrication and final integration — we are better positioned to assume broader project responsibility and deliver complex retrofit programs with consistency, accountability, and performance discipline.

As vessel upgrades continue to increase in scale and technical depth, we are building the infrastructure required to manage more advanced scopes with confidence, reliability, and precision — supporting the maritime industry’s transition toward decarbonisation and next-generation offshore operations.
