Position overview

We are looking for an experienced Senior Proposals Engineer to join GLO Marine's Commercial Department and take ownership of our proposals and contracts activities. This is a strategic, client-facing role, ideal for someone with a solid background in technical sales and business development — and a proven track record on large-scale repair and EPC projects in the maritime or offshore energy industry. Industry experience is not optional; it is a core requirement for this role. As a senior member of our commercial team, you will work closely with the Commercial Director, Marketing, Engineering, and Project Management to deliver compelling, accurate, and timely proposals that win business and support our growth.

Key responsibilities
  • Prepare proposals, contracts, and contract amendments, including change orders, payment schedules, task orders, and internal budgets.
  • Manage the full proposal and change order process — setting timelines, defining critical path milestones, and proactively escalating issues to meet delivery targets.
  • Submit all deliverables accurately and on time.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with key clients, partners, and stakeholders.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams across marketing, engineering, and project management to align on sales goals and client requirements.
  • Monitor market trends, competitor activity, and evolving customer needs, adapting sales strategies accordingly.
  • Represent GLO Marine at industry events, conferences, and trade shows.

  • Strong understanding of technical sales and the maritime industry, with the ability to translate complex technical concepts for clients.
