Position overview

We are looking for a practical, reliable, and hands-on IT Support Technician to provide day-to-day technical support and assist with workplace IT equipment and systems.

The ideal candidate is technically minded, organised, willing to learn, and comfortable carrying out a varied range of technical and practical tasks.


Main responsibilities
  • Install, configure, update, maintain, and troubleshoot computers, laptops, operating systems, business applications, printers, and peripherals, including setting up user workspaces.
  • Provide technical support and practical guidance to colleagues on software, hardware, user access, and equipment-related issues.
  • Apply and maintain security measures for end-user devices in line with company requirements.
  • Install, configure, and troubleshoot network infrastructure, including cabling, connectors, switches, routers, and related equipment.
  • Handle technical tasks related to organising, updating, transferring, archiving, and maintaining company documents, files, and data.
  • Coordinate warranty claims, external repairs, and the preparation, shipment, and receipt of IT equipment.
  • Maintain records of IT equipment, repairs, transfers, and support activities.
  • Transport IT equipment between company locations, suppliers, and service providers when required.

Ideal candidate profile
  • Good practical understanding of computers, operating systems, hardware, peripherals, and common business applications.
  • Strong technical aptitude and problem-solving skills.
  • Organised, responsible, and attentive to detail.
  • Ability to work independently and follow tasks through to completion.
  • Good communication skills and patience when supporting non-technical users.
  • A valid Category B driving licence is required.
