Job summary 

As Installation & Commissioning engineer, you’ll lead a true transformation process—from concept to reality—overseeing and executing key installation and commissioning activities for advanced vessel upgrade and retrofit projects. This role requires strong expertise in piping, mechanical, and electrical systems, along with the ability to efficiently manage manpower and resources in fast-paced environments. You’ll ensure seamless project execution, collaborating with designers, manufacturers, classification societies, clients, and cross-functional teams to meet rigorous industry standards and project timelines. Responsibilities: 

  • Execute installation and commissioning activities with strict adherence to procedures provided by designers and manufacturers, ensuring full compliance with industry standards.
  • Take full ownership of the technical aspects of installation supervision and commissioning, managing end-to-end tasks to ensure safety, quality, and performance criteria are met.
  • Develop and produce detailed reports throughout and following installation and commissioning activities, tailoring documentation for relevant stakeholders, such as designers, manufacturers, owners, and classification societies.
  • Make informed, on-the-spot decisions as needed, based on real-time communication with project stakeholders to address any technical challenges effectively.
  • Coordinate internally and externally with key stakeholders, including clients, agents, and the Site & Site Support Team, to support clear communication across all phases of the project.

 

Requirements: 

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Naval Architecture, Mechanical Engineering will be a plus
  • Proof of team coordination experience for at least 2+ years
  • Fully conversant with document management systems (ISO 9001 or similar)
  • Minimum 5-year experience in installation or commissioning of several naval systems
  • Fully conversant with P&ID schemes and diagrams, and technical drawings & specifications
  • Excellent use of English language, especially industry specific terms
