Role Overview

We are looking for a hunter – a driven, action-oriented Area Sales Manager ready to hit the ground running and bring in new retrofit and vessel upgrade projects from around the globe.

Key Responsibilities:

A. Direct Sales & Lead Generation

  • Focus on new leads, opening doors, and actively prospecting the market to drive new business growth.
  • Lead efforts to identify, engage, and qualify potential clients across maritime and offshore energy sectors.
  • Build and maintain a strong pipeline by consistently generating and converting fresh opportunities.
  • Drive volume business by securing multiple retrofit and upgrade projects, expanding GLO Marine’s market presence.
  • Take ownership of new business development with a hunter mindset and a results-driven approach.

B. Account Management & Client Retention:

  • Develop and manage lasting relationships with vessel owners, ship managers, and OEMs.
  • Act as a key point of contact for strategic accounts to ensure long-term client satisfaction.
  • Understand client operations and project needs to propose tailored retrofit and decarbonization solutions.

C. Market Intelligence & Research:

  • Monitor and report on market trends, competitor activity, and customer needs in relevant vessel types and regions.
  • Benchmark competitors and assess pricing models and market positioning.
  • Maintain accurate CRM records, sales forecasts, and performance dashboards.

D. Performance Management & Reporting:

  • Represent GLO Marine at industry events, conferences, and trade shows to showcase retrofit expertise.

Requirements:

  • Proven experience in sales or account management within the maritime, offshore, or marine engineering sectors.
  • At least 5 years of experience securing complex projects in a marine-driven market.
  • A proactive, hunter mindset with a proven ability to open doors and close deals.
  • Strong relationship-building skills and an established network in target markets.
  • Relevant qualification in Mechanical/Marine Engineering or related fields.
  • Fluency in technical dialogue related to vessel operations and retrofits.
  • Familiarity with the vessel lifecycle and key players in the industry (owners, OEMs, shipyards).
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and team collaboration skills.
