Basic Design

113 m Expedition Cruise Vessel with 75 passenger cabins. The vessel is strengthened for sailing in harsh environment (Polar Code strengthening) such as the Arctic during summer or the Antarctic during winter.

LE COMMANDANT CHARCOT

Detail Design

Being the very first hybrid-electric polar exploration ship powered by LNG, made the project itself and the experience of working on it both challenging and exciting. As GLO managed the complete fore part in regard to pipe and outfitting and the LNG tanks in regard to the structural part, we are both glad and satisfied to have played a part in this great project.

Le Laperouse is the first vessel of the Ponant Explorer Series. GLO Marine was responsible with the aft area HULL detailed design workshop drawings. The drawings were delivered for all 4 sister vessels of Ponant fleet: Le Laperouse, Le Bouganville, Le Champlain, Le Dumont-D'Urville.

The vessel is the latest state of the art cruise vessel which belong to Hapag-Lloyd. Hanseatic Nature will be an exclusive German speaking vessel which will sail only in Germany. GLO Marine was responsible with the fore part for both sister vessels.
