OIL SPILL RECOVERY VESSEL

GLO Marine has completed the concept design phase for an aluminium HSLC (high speed light craft) designed following the Rules for high speed crafts given by both DNVGL and Bureau Veritas Class Society.

The main purpose of the vessel is fast intervention and recovery of oil spills in harbour areas and sheltered waters. The vessel can recover up to 25 m3 of oil in one trip and is installed with the latest heavy-duty oil recovery systems. 2 waterjets propulsion systems are driven by 2 main diesel generators developing a total of 1700 kW.

The Main deck is designed for a distributed load of 2 tons/m2 and can accommodate a 10ft container. Accommodation for 2 crew members is provided.
